I want to do a hot backup of one users schema. What would be the best way with SVRMGRL? How would I restore this if I have to reinstall Oracle on a new box?

I understnad hot backups in Oracle, but I would like the opinion of someone who has to perform backups and restores on a users schema.

Any help is appreciated.
