Hi all,

I have restarted my oracle report server, check all the logs, all reports, procedure, etc.... But still its performance is very very slow. No errors but it is taking 1 hour or 2 hours to display the report. before this issue it was took less than a minute.

Should I change any iniEngine value..?

Cache Size now is - 50MB
maxEngine now is - 1
iniEngine -1 (two iniEngine is there... which one i have to change..?)

Please kindly help me on this...

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

what exactly is slow. Is the report itself running slow, or is the opening of the output slow?
In general, there is no need to change the report server parameters. Especially after a restart of the report server.
If the report itself is slow, test the SQL it is executing.
If the opening of the output is slow, check your APPS Listener.

Arian

Hi Alien... Razz

Thanks for your kind reply.

The opening of the output only slow. We have checked the SQL queries as well as we have recompiled the .rdf files. Our working time is 9am to 7pm. Before 9am & after 7pm its working properly. During working hours only its dead slow.

We have checked the server memory and also Cleaned the tmp files. Still the problem is there..!

I will check APPS Listner. Please kindly advice me on this.

Hi,

do you have logging enabled on the APPS-listener? If so, are there errors in it?

When you go to the $APPLCSF/$APPLOUT directory does it also take long to open the files?
