Hi
I have a database in which the disk utilisation of server is 100% for 90% of the time.How to find out which process is causing high I/O and is there any way to tune it....

Where did you get those figures from?
Are you sure it's the DB and not something else on the server causing the problem?

If you are sure it's the DB - statspack or awr might be a good place to start.

You should better post this question in a Unix forum.
It does not matter it is an Oracle process.
And how do you know it is not another one?

It is the oracle processes...I can see it in glance....Actually I found out that two segments are contributing to high physical reads in all the awr reports...Any solution

If you know it is Oracle processes then you know which process it is otherwise you don't know you just think it is.

Actually we are using shared server architecture so the shared server processes are present in it and the Disk I/O is 100% most of the time...
