I'm not sure I understand the question; could you rephrase it, please?

Anyway: in client/server, drill-down reports were created using a button (calling the SRW.RUN_REPORT built-in). Nowadays (which includes your version - 10g), drill-down reports are created with hyperlinks instead of buttons.

Where does "parameter form" come into a game? What "parameters"? Drill-down means that you have a "big picture" and then want to narrow it - but, you already *know* all parameters you need to know. So ... /forum/fa/1580/0/

I want to display parameter form of second report. i.e. i want to accept userid and password for opening the drill down report
Example. Report B is calling from A. The parameter form of report B is to be displayed to accept userid and password.

Why? Aren't the same credentials (that are valid for Report_A) valid for Report_B? By the way, what do you do with username and password as report parameters; where do you use them?

I don't know, never did that.

Anyway: if you try to run a report and do not provide credentials, Oracle won't execute it but prompt the user to enter "username/password@database" values. So, I suppose that you don't need to worry about it at all - Oracle will (should, in my opinion) do the whole job for you.

Mentioning security reasons: does it mean that some users aren't allowed to view the drill-down report? How about hiding the link from them (so that they wouldn't even see it)? It might have been done with the Format Trigger (you'd still have to have "list" of these users - perhaps stored in a table?).
