Hi,
What is the uses of "Validate From List" Property(Yes/No) in LOV's Properties..Can one please help me please and i searched in google ,but i am not getting..

Suppose you created a form based on Scott's EMP table. When you create a list of values which shows available department numbers (such as "select deptno, dname, loc from dept") and attach it to emp.deptno item, pressing LoV button shows departments 10, 20, 30 and 40.
If you set "Validate from list" property to "No", you are allowed to enter, for example, emp.deptno = 75 (unless there's a WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM trigger which handles that invalid value (because deptno = 75 doesn't exist in DEPT table).
But, if you set "Validate from list" property to "Yes", then Forms automatically checks value you entered against values returned by a LOV, so it rejects an invalid deptno = 75 value.
