Hi all,

previously I was able to connect with database through sql developer. I use citrix and then access client db via sqldeveloper. but client has migrated db into different host and port. after that we are not able to connect database.
it is showing ORA-01017 Invalid user name and password.
even by same user name and password they are able to connect with their machine.
please suggest...

Thanks

So client has migrated the database but not your account or has changed your password or your are not trying to reach the correct database. Did you change your connection string?

It appears you have not changed it in the correct way.
Note Oracle is too dumb to lie on this, whatever you think on the database you are trying to connect you have no account or a wrong password.
So check another time you are trying to connect to the correct database.

You are not trying to connect to the same database or you are not passing the username/password.

I am not able to attach screenshot here so that I can show that we are not able to connect to the same database schemas using Citrix Remote Desktop. I have used instead of Host name to verify if it works, however id didn't.Same connection is working fine through London Physical machine on RDC which is physically in london.

Do you mind posting the connection details i.e. server name, port & service or SID here at least?

And make sure you post for both the locations, one where you getting error and the one where it succeeds.

consider to packet sniff (Ethereal, WireShark, etc.) to observe the actual data content being exchanged.
