Whenever I run exp to export my database I meet the
error "segmentation fault",my system is Oracle8.1.7 installed on RedHat 7.2. What's the matter? Thank you.

can you post the exact messages?
it may be of any reason like
1. linking errors
try relinking the oracle and exp executables.
2. NLS_LANG and NLS_DATE_FORMAT errors
try NLS_LANG=american_america.WE8ISO8859P1 for exp
