I would be interested to hear from medium-sized and large companies on which departments are responsible for Inventory transactions in the INV module?
The Accounting or Finance Dept., of course, is ultimately responsible for the INV distributions that are transferred to the G/L. And the Sales dept. is obviously interested in the inventory transactions which fulfill OM orders.
But in which department are your users who are responsible for inventory control? And which users can enter misc. receipts and issues in the INV module?

Hi,
misc. receipts and issues can be used by invertory person who is issueing material... for consumption purpose. From that u can control ur stock.
Means normally invertory shld impact of receipts & issue, like when u issue the material to production dept. that time u can use misc. issues & book the transaction & tally ur stock with physical vs book stock.
