Have you tried looking on MetaLink? You will find lots of useful information there. You might also want to look at this post.

Mukesh,

An account generator is a way to generate the accounting for a transaction using Oracle Workflow. For more information take a look at Chapter 10 Account Generator in the Oracle Applications Flexfields Guide. Additional information can be found in the manuals for the various applications that use account generators for generating accounting (PA, iProcurement, FA etc.)

All Oracle manuals are available for download from OTN for free. I suggest that you download the entire CD for the version of the E-Business Suite that you are working with and have some desktop search tool installed so that you can search through them quickly.

If you are interested in accounting in 11i there is another way to generate accounts, AutoAccounting, that is used by other applications that you might want to look into as well.

In R12 there is a new way to generate accounting called Subledger Accounting (SLA). The accounting has been pulled out of the transaction systems and into a separate application. This gives you a unified and consistent way to define the accounting. It is also very powerful as you can use the same accounting events to generate accounting to several ledgers according to different rules.
