hello
did someone upgraded directly from oracle 8.1.7 standard edition, to oracle 10g entreprise edition

i know that the documentation says that we should go first to entreprise edition on version 8.1.7 then upgrade to 10g
but i want to check so i can save some time

You have to follow it is said in the documentation if you want to migrate or use the export/import way.
