Please check the Action History,may be the document has been routed to the next person(it can either be your supervisor or the person in the next position in the hierarchy which you are using) for approval
Unless he/she approves/rejects the documents' status will not change.

The PO might be waiting for approval or it might be stuck in the workflow.
In the menu toolbar go to Enquire -> Action History to see if this is avaiting anybody's approval.
If the PO is stuck in workflow, you can use the WFSTATUS to see the status of this PO and submit WFRETRY if necessary.
