hello
there is an environment where there is 3 oracle databases and 3 different application; the issue is that i want to consolidate these 3 databases into one database; and there is definitly some common schema between the dartabases since the 3 applications came from the same supplier
is there some documented methodologies for consolidating these databases ?
thanks and regards

export/import with options fromuser/touser with the hope that your supplier supports different schema names.

well
the supplier have similar schema within the application, plus he created objects within some default schema like system or sys;
and you would have for instance maoro.emp in database A. and maoro.emo in database B
any help
thanks

Too bad.
If schema name is forced there is nothing to do.

hello
isnt possible to import schema to a different user and modify the application in order to reference the object ?
like if we have maoro.emp on A and maoro.emp on B

i would on C import maoro.emp to a schema like new_maoro.emp and update the application ..
what do you think
thanks

This is what I first said: import with options fromuser/touser.

Sounds like a chat with your application provider might be in order before you start playing with this.

At least I would if it were me.
