wonder if u can help why everytime we print some oracle reports, its giving extra page, with the username printed on that extra page. our printer model is hp lj 1500 and its running on unix os. please advise.

thanks for responding. its a report from oracle erp. the print out goes thru oracle print queue.

First of all, I don't use UNIX nor ERP so, please, keep this in mind.

Your "problem" reminded me of OpenVMS print utility which allows you to use several parameters. One of them is "FLAG". So, when you printed a file

PRINT some_file.txt /FLAG

it would print a flag page preceding the "some_file.txt" file. The flag page contains name of user who submitted this print job, job entry number and other information.

Now, I believe UNIX must have such an option as well; could you ask your system administrator to check default print settings and, possibly, remove the FLAG parameter (or whichever name it might have on UNIX)?
