HI Vinod,

First Query the DFF,

1) Disable the check box for 'unfreez'.
2) Click on 'Segments'.
3) put cursor on first segment , then click on 'Open'.
In next window there is check box 'Required' enable it.
4) do for same the segments which u want to make mandatory.
5) Save and enable 'Unfreez' and Complie.

i hope so, it would help to you.

Thanks
Shashidhar K

thank you for the reply.
but the problem is lill bit complicated.

for rest its not necessary.

Hi Vidod,

Use context sensitivity (if you haven't allocated it for the DFF for another context). Instead of attribute1 the context column will be used (typically a column named attribute_category) for the first segment. Then the rest is adding segments to the context structure codes and making them required as needed.

case 1:
only for
Segment1 Attribute1 Valueset1='abc'

Segment2 Attribute2 Valueset2

Segment3 Attribute3 Valueset3

Segment4 Attribute4 Valueset4 should be Mandatory( Required to fill)

case 2:
for any other value given to Segment1 Attribute1 Valueset1,

Segment4 Attribute4 Valueset4 shlouldnt be mandatory.

only for that particular value the 4th attribute shld be mandatory for rest it shldnt.

i appriciate your effort.

kindly post me the solution.
Thanking you,
With regards,
Vinod.

No, this is not possible... You have to handle the validations in the business layer..
