HI

Actualy we have developed a customized application using oracle database 10g & Oracle Development suits 10g.

Now I want your suggestion on
1. Is there any limitation on using the deveopment suits 10g in Production environment.

2. Is development suits use for only development purpose as it name suggest.

3. is there any need to install Oracle application server in production environment.

we are able to run & tested our application sucessfully in development environment using oracle database & development suits.

Kindly Advice

Thanks In advance

If I understood correctly what you are saying, forms and reports work fine in development environment (i.e. in order to run them, you have to start the OC4J instance). Right?

If so, you'll have to "deploy" your application to the web. How to do that? Read the documentation - pay attention to the "Internet Deployment" section.

"Developer Suite" is what its name says - suite of development tools (Forms and Reports Builders, JDeveloper etc.). "Application Server" ia a completely different product.

Check the Download section of the Oracle Technology Network.

ODS is a separate product.
It is used to build applications in forms 10g and report 10g.
If you want to migrate forms 6i to web,you need to first compile them in ODS 10G then deploy them to application server.
In all you need three separate products.
oracle database 10g
oracle developer suite 10g
oracle application server 10g[for allowing other users to access application]
