Collaboration Suite

Oracle Collaboration Suite (OCS) is an enterprise level collaborative tool equivalent to Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes. At the 2008 Oracle Openworld conference Oracle announced that Oracle Beehive will eventually replace Collaboration Suite.

History[edit]

OCS was first released in 2000, an earlier product in this space was Oracle Office.

OCS consists of components like:

  • Oracle Mail
  • Oracle Calendar
  • Oracle Voicemail & Fax
  • Oracle Mobile Access
  • Oracle Discussions
  • Oracle Web Conferencing
  • Oracle Messenger
  • Oracle Workspaces (managing team and project collaboration)
  • Oracle Content Services (content management system)
